Reading tracker comparison: which reading tracker fits the way you read?

There is no single best reading tracker, so this site does not rank them. Tell the tracker finder what you read, how social you want to be, how you feel about privacy labels and how you want to pay, and it lists the apps whose published facts match. Every app has a library card of facts with sources, including its limits.

What question does this site answer?

Which reading tracker fits the way you read? A tracker that suits a print reader in a book club can be the wrong one for someone who listens to audiobooks on a commute, so we match apps to readers instead of ranking them. We read each app's store listing, website and help pages, last refreshed on 2026-10-11, and recorded what each one publishes.

Where can I learn more?

Common questions

What is the best reading tracker app?

It depends on how you read, which is why this site does not rank the apps. Print readers, audiobook listeners, club readers and goal setters need different things. The tracker finder lists the apps whose published facts match your answers.

Which reading trackers work for audiobooks?

On the pages we read, Magic Bookmark, Basmo, Bookly, Fable, Goodreads, Literal and The StoryGraph describe audiobook features in different ways: Bookly and Basmo track audiobooks as a format, Goodreads lets you shelve audiobook editions, The StoryGraph has listening goals, Fable takes listening activity from a linked Everand account, Literal offers public-domain audiobooks, and Magic Bookmark finds your place from the last phrase you heard.

Which reading tracker has the lightest privacy label?

Hardcover's App Store label says Data Not Linked to You, covering usage data and diagnostics. Magic Bookmark, Basmo, Bookly and Fable list identifiers used to track you. Labels are written by the developers.

Is Magic Bookmark a reading tracker?

Not in the usual sense. It does not log finished books or keep goals or stats. It finds your exact place in a supported book from a photo of the page or the last phrase you heard, and shows who's who without anything past your place.
