Which reading tracker has which features?

Every app against every card row, on one page. Each stamp means the same thing it means on the app's profile.

The matrix below shows, for each app and each feature row, whether the app's own pages describe the feature (on record), say it is absent (not offered), or do not mention it (not in our sources). It is built from the same data as the app profiles and the tracker finder, so it changes when they do. It is a map, not a ranking.

How do you read the stamps?

  • On record: the app's own listing, website or help pages describe the feature.
  • Not offered: those pages say the app does not have it, or the listing makes clear it is absent.
  • Not in our sources: we did not find it on the pages we read. The app may still have it.

The method page explains each row and where the facts come from.

Why is there no total or score?

Because a column of stamps does not say which features matter to you. A club reader and an audiobook listener can look at the same matrix and want different apps. Counting stamps would rank apps by how much they publish, not by how well they fit you. The tracker finder uses your answers to order apps instead.

How is this different from the side-by-side table?

The side-by-side table shows each app's full card text, prices and sources, and lets you choose which apps to compare. This matrix shows only the stamps, so you can scan every app and every row at once.

Which rows separate the apps most?

Reading the matrix by row is more useful than reading it by app. On our cards, a few rows split the nine apps sharply:

  • Picking a book back up: only Magic Bookmark is on record.
  • Clubs and shared reads: on record for Fable, Goodreads, Literal and The StoryGraph; not offered by several others.
  • Privacy label: split between apps that list no data used to track you and apps that list identifiers used to track you.
  • Android: most are on Android; BookBuddy is Apple only, Literal lists Android as coming soon and Magic Bookmark has it on its roadmap.

Rows where nearly every app is on record, such as goals and stats, rarely decide anything.

What are the limits of a matrix?

A stamp says whether an app's own pages describe a feature, not how well it works. Two apps with "on record" for audiobooks may handle them very differently: a timer in one, a separate listening goal in another. Use the matrix to make a shortlist, then read the notes on each library card. The cards also show the date each fact was read.

How was the matrix last checked?

Every stamp comes from the app's own App Store listing, website or help pages, with the date we read it on the library card. The cards were refreshed in full on 2026-10-11; Magic Bookmark was re-checked on 27 October, 3 November and 4 November 2026, and Bookly's pricing note on 4 November 2026. If an app has changed since, the matrix will lag until the next quarterly refresh. The contact page takes corrections, with a link to the source.

Which rows matter for which reader?

Most readers need two or three rows, not all eight:

If you...Read these rows first
Listen more than you readAudiobooks, Goals and stats
Read with a club or a friendClubs and shared reads, Privacy label
Own a big print libraryPrint books, Ways to pay
Often stop mid-bookPicking a book back up, Goals and stats
Care most about dataPrivacy label, Ways to pay

Ignore the rest until you have a shortlist of two or three apps; the other rows then break ties.

How do you check a stamp yourself?

Open the app's library card from the side-by-side table, find the row and follow its source link. Each stamp names the page we read and the date we read it. If the app's page now says something different, the app has changed since our check, and the contact page explains how corrections work.

What should you do with it?

Find the two or three rows that matter to you, read across them, and shortlist the apps with those stamps on record. Then read the shortlisted apps' profiles, which include their limits.

Common questions

Which reading tracker has the most features?

We do not count features, because the number says little about fit. The matrix shows which rows each app has on record, so you can look only at the rows you care about.

What does not in our sources mean?

That we did not find the feature on the app's own pages. The app may still have it; the contact page takes corrections with a link.

How often is the matrix updated?

Whenever an app's card changes. It is built from the same data as the profiles and the tracker finder.

Which reading tracker has the most features?

We do not total features, because a feature only matters if you need it. Read the matrix by the rows that matter to you.

How current is the feature matrix?

Each stamp shows the date its source was read on the app's library card. All cards were refreshed on 2026-10-11, with Magic Bookmark and Bookly re-checked in November 2026.

Which reading tracker features matter most?

The two or three that match how you read: audiobook tracking for listeners, clubs for shared reads, print features for collectors, and the privacy label if data matters to you.
